The fortunes of Stonor house and chapel are strongly tied to the travails of the Catholics in Britain. When Henry VIII formed the Church of England in the 1530s Catholics, including the Stonor family were forced to take a much reduced part in public life. Crippling fines were levied and many were persecuted and forced to go into hiding.

Event Description: We are pleased to announce a new event set in the heart of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. A non-competitive hill climb for pre-1940 vintage cars & motorcycles, plus a static display of classic vehicles.
Our course is located about a mile to the south of the famous Cadwell Park motor racing circuit and will be on a section of closed road, approximately 1 mile in length, with an average gradient of around 8%.
The event is being organised by the Rotary Club of Louth and all profits will go to our selected charities: 50% to Cancer Research UK and 50% to good causes in the Louth area.

Event Description: A tour of approximately 77 miles through beautiful Cotswold countryside. The day starts with a breakfast roll and coffee/tea after which cars set off at short intervals and follow the route which is in easy-to-follow tulip format with other directions. There is a mid- way stop where refreshments will be available. The cars then return for lunch at the start venue with plenty of time to chat to other participants and see the cars during the event.

We may not be the biggest show but we've certainly got tradition and a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere in an idyllic Cotswold setting going for us with a good variety of vehicles taking part and ales to try.

Event Description: ****No confirmed 2024 dates yet***In 2019 spectators took a nostalgic trip down memory lane when over 100 vehicles – cars, motorbikes, scooters, commercial and military – joined Biddulph’s first classic vehicle show.
Following a break in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, we were excited to see the return of the show on Saturday 11 September 2021.
Biddulph Local People’s Group ran a vintage tea tent, live music was provided by local band Rooster and Churnet Sound provided music.
