Join us for The BVAC Classic Festival of Motoring, the premier classic car show in Scotland. This has been held annually at Thirlestane Castle for over 15 years and is organised by the Borders Vintage Automobile Club. This festival of motoring attracts over 1,000 classic and vintage cars of all models and styles, plus motorcycle and military vehicle displays. In addition, visitors can enjoy live rally action, arena stunt shows, pipe band displays and a children’s play area, combined with plenty of retail, food and drink exhibitors, there really is something for all the family. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join in the fun as well! Gates open at 11am and the event closes at 5pm.
About Thirlestane castle
We were formed in 1972 and have held the Borders’ prime classic car show almost every year since. Following the inevitable interruption due to the pandemic, we came back in 2022 with the Sir Jackie Stewart Classic, a massive two day event at Thirlestane Castle near Lauder. This year the show will return to Thirlestane in the more traditional BVAC Classic format .Location: Thirlestane Castle by Lauder
