The run is open to all motor vehicles (3 wheels or more) built before January 1905. See the VCC web site for a full list of the entries or http://www.lbvcr.com/. First group of cars leaves Hyde Park at 07:00 and with the last group leaving before 08:30. Each group consist of 10 to 16 cars with an interval of 2 minutes between the groups. Older the car the earlier it leaves or if the same age then it is by HP, the smaller first. (The times may change on the day) At the official coffee stop at Crawley, the first car arrives about 1hour 40minuits after starting at Hyde Park. For some, there are many coffee stops on route.

The Club was founded in 1930 after the London to Brighton Run of that year. The club is pleased to accept all cars manufactured before 1919 into the Club (conditions apply).
