From the M6 - J31A from the South, J32 from the North. The first Chipping Steam Fair was held in 1998 to support efforts to raise funds for a new Village Hall. What was originally seen as a one-off event has, through the overwhelming success of that first event, now become a firm fixture in the calandar of many enthusiasts.
Over 10,000 visitors and upward of 450 exhibitors supported that first event. The following two years saw a steady increase in both visitors and exhibitors. The hard-earned efforts of all involved in both organising and running the event have continued to be rewarded.

Green Lane Chipping, Preston
The event used to be held at the Chipping Show Ground. The village is beautifully situated in the Forest of Bowland and the exquisite setting of the Ground, in the shadow of Parlick Pike and the Bowland Fells, added to the wonderful experience that all show visitors witness. From 2004 the Show moved to a new location just as picturesque and just as accessible about three quarters of a mile outside the village on the Clitheroe road.
