2020 sees the 23nd edition of the Historique event and the 5th edition of the Classique event. Both events which are staged by the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) and take place entirely on open public roads, will have their UK start from Glasgow on Wednesday 29 January. The Historique event is run over eight days finishing in Monte Carlo in the early hours of February 5, with the cars and crews having undertaken some fifteen regularity (average speed) test stages in the mountains of southern France. While the Classique event which is restricted to cars from 1911 to1965. It follows the same route to Monte Carlo as the Historique, visits the same time controls but does not include any timed stages, the goal being to finish in Monte Carlo on 1 February. Visit www.https://monte.scot.co.uk. The Classique event is for older cars from as early as 1911 to 1965 and follows the same route to Monte Carlo but does not include any test stages, the goal simply being to finish in Monte Carlo after checking in at a series of control points on the way. Once again the event also features the popular Monte Heritage Runs which will link with the full-scale events and will take in a series of short classic routes in Scotland including starts from John O’ Groats and Aberdeen. There will be 10 or 11 cars starting from John O’ Groats on the 28th and driving via Aberdeen to Glasgow for the start on the 29th.
