The first production Jaguar D-Type, one of history’s most prominent race cars, is set to star at the 2019 Concours of Elegance. Chassis XKD 509 is widely known as one of the most original D-Types in the world, with significant road and racing history, and will join the 15th E-Type FHC ever built in a line-up of the world’s rarest and most significant cars.In another Centenary celebration, Concours of Elegance will be marking 100 years of Bentley with a display of the most iconic Bentleys ever built. Among them is the first car to ever win Le Mans back-to-back – Speed Six ‘Old Number One’ – and the car fabled for racing Le Train Bleu across France with Woolf Barnato at the wheel, a Speed Six Gurney Nutting Coupé. The Ecurie Ecosse LM69 will be officially launched at the Concours of Elegance 2019. Fifty years on from the Jaguar XJ13 that inspires it, the spectacular LM69 is to be launched to continue its story. While remaining true in spirit and sympathetic to the style of the fabulous XJ13, its bodywork has been developed into an all-new design that has its own purposeful beauty.
