Experience the oldest racetrack in the world still in use. Enjoy watching demonstration runs and a competitive speed hillclimb - as well as the chance to take a spin up the track yourself. All this plus historic cars, competitions, prizes, displays, entertainments, personalities and live theatre - to include forums, Q&A sessions with a panel of Jaguar experts and much much more. Period dress encouraged - but not compulsory. Then it’s dance cards at the ready on the Saturday evening as we head back to the forties with our XK70 1948 Party. Swing to the sound of the Ashby Big Band and enjoy some fine food and fancy tipples - but rest assured, there’ll be no rationing tonight! See http://www.xk70.co.uk. Public Admission per day to Shelsley Walsh: £20 advance or at gate £25, children free.
2018 marks the 70th anniversary of the Jaguar XK 120. And why is this so special? Not only were the XK 120s, 140s and 150s the finest sports cars of the Fifties, but the 120 launched the XK engine which powered five Le Mans winners and almost every Jaguar for the next 40 years - hence XK70! Based at the lovely old historic Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb, this will be one of the most spectacular Jaguar XK celebrations ever staged in the motoring world. Far from static, there will be a competitive speed hillclimb, demonstration runs, the opportunity to take your car up the oldest racetrack in the world still in use, historic cars, 1948 party, forums, displays, personalities, dinners, live music and so much more. It will be a party worthy of the Jaguar XK.
