With the first recorded rally taking place in 1902, and held by the Manchester automobile club, Gawsworth has long been linked with the motor vehicle. In the 1940s and 1950s the Hall was also home to Denis Ferranti’s wonderful collection, including a T59 Bugatti that now takes pride of place in Ralph Lauren’s garage. In recent years, highlights include wonderful eight-litre vintage Bentleys, huge posses of American muscle cars, and dozens of period scooters. All are welcome to come and go as they wish, ensuring a relaxing day for both owners and visitors, with an informal concours and autojumble also taking place. We hope you can come and join us for what’s always a fantastic event, with a garden party atmosphere. For all details contact Rupert Richards on 01260 223456.
